Canada:What I did in 4 days

Just because your on budget doesn’t mean you can’t travel. My boyfriend and I took trip to Canada our last spring break and though it was short it was packed full of explorations. If your planning on going to Canada here are some things i consider must do’s.

Kensington Market

Culture filled, Kensington market has a hipster vibe and has so many funky thrift stores  and delicious eateries that makes traveling fun. You can get some bomb churros from here and the national dish of Poutine from one of the local whole in the wall.

Graffiti alley

Toronto has so many different museums that showcase art but I honestly believe Graffiti Alley captures the creativity and culture of the city. With different murals and portraits from so many different artist from the city covering the walls from bottom to top, it's hard not to get lost in amazement.

China Town

Chinatown in Toronto is a definite must. From authentic Chinese restaurants  with community seating and some even having ducks hanging in the window (a first for me) to bargain souvenir shops (you will learn to know i love bargains). Chinatown is definitely a must.

Niagara Falls

I don’t think you can truly see Canada if you haven’t been to Niagara Falls. We took the Greyhound and uber from Toronto to the falls. It's a world wonder that is utterly breathtaking. We went in March, so there were still ice caps and snow melting in and around the falls. You can still enjoy its full beauty. Make sure to ride the sky wheel while your there and walk through Clifton Hill. They have so many fun things for everyone of any age.

Just walk

Honestly, with such a short time it's hard to plan so many things to get done. You discover more about a city when your not just following beaten paths the whole time. We found different hole in the walls, sculptures, and chapels by just walking around and running to find  our uber. This is definitely a place you will have to visit more than once but this is a good start to just get a feel and get the most out of your first trip. Soak in the City!

What are somethings you did or would like to do in Canada?

10 Cheap Things To Do In Savannah

Here are my top 10 cheap things to do in Savannah. Visiting Savannah for the first time? Or are you a local just trying to learn and do more in your city, but on a budget? You came to the right place! 1. Visit Forsyth Forsyth Park is one of Savannah’s most photographed and well-known parks and it doesn’t disappoint. It's a great place to walk or picnic and take in the beautiful scenery that is Downtown Savannah. If you are feeling really bohemian, bring your hammock to wrap it around the trees and hang. I think all tourists should at least walk through this park and every "Savannahian" should make it a habit to go out there and relax on the lawn. I frequent there a lot. This is literally number one of the cheap things to do in Savannah because it's free ! 2. Take an art class (Cultural Arts Center) A new addition to the city that is really exploring the city's love for the arts. The Cultural Arts Center offers many different classes such

Savannah Black Artists That Impact

In honor of Black History Month, let's talk about Savannah Black Artists that impact. “Keep In mind I’m an artist so I’m sensitive about my shxt” - Erykah Badu  What is art? Well, that answer is subjective. To me, art is whatever you can create with your head and imagine with your soul. The next question is, what is an artist? That is subjective too. To me, artists tend to be the unsung heroes who have the courage to manifest their emotions into the physical. We all have a little artist in us, but there are some that just shine above the rest.  Here are some of my favorite Black artists in Savannah (In no particular order): 1. Nae'Keisha Jones Nae'Keisha Jones is an illustrator and writer from Colorado, based in Savannah, Ga. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A in Illustration with a minor in Creative Writing.  Destiny: “ What role do you see yourself playing in the Savannah art scene?” Nae’Keisha: “ I want

8 Things I Wish I Knew Before Going To Paris

Paris. The city of love and trends. Definitely a one of kind experience and a very beautiful place to see. Here are just a couple of first time Paris things I wish I knew before going . 1.The hot chocolate is amazing! By far my favorite thing I had in Paris. I am a chocolate lover and would like to think I am a connoisseur. The richness of the chocolates is what sets it apart from the normal hot chocolate we have in America. 2.Disneyland Paris is nice, but… I think visiting different Disney's around the world is a bucket list within itself. It was actually on my roommates that's why we went. It wasn’t bad and I still had a great time, but there are not a lot of rides like they have in Florida and two of the biggest ones they had there were closed when we went. Bummer. Don’t let this deter you from going because I would still recommend anyone to go that loves Disney. It is great to hear how your favorite characters sound in French! 3.Do Not eat aroun
